Glyphosate 540

HarvestGuard Glyphosate 540 is a concentrated Group 9 systemic herbicide for non-selective weed control. It is absorbed through green foliage and moves through the plant to growing points and underground tissues. Labelled uses include pre-seeding and pre-emergence burndown, post-harvest and summer fallow treatments, pre-harvest weed control, use in glyphosate-tolerant crops, and selected industrial and non-crop uses.

· Broad-spectrum control of annual grasses, broadleaf weeds and many perennial weeds.

· Flexible fit across burndown, in-crop tolerant-system, pre-harvest and non-crop programs.

· Concentrated 540 g/L potassium-salt formulation.

· Systemic movement helps control susceptible perennial weeds below ground.

Apply to emerged, actively growing weeds using the rate and water volume specified for the intended use pattern. Do not disturb treated vegetation until adequate translocation has occurred. Crop stage, weed stage, rainfast period, pre-harvest interval and aerial-use restrictions vary by use. Always follow the applicable formulation label.

Labelled use patterns include pre-seeding and pre-emergence applications across many field crops; pre-harvest use in selected cereals, pulses, oilseeds and forages; and in-crop use in specified glyphosate-tolerant canola, corn, soybean, sugar beet and other labelled systems.

Barnyard grass, annual bluegrass, large and smooth crabgrass, downy brome, fall panicum, green, yellow and giant foxtail, Persian darnel, wild oats, volunteer barley, wheat and corn, chickweed, cleavers, cocklebur, lamb's-quarters, wild mustard, Canada thistle, dandelion, quackgrass and other labelled annual and perennial weeds. See the label for the complete list and rates.

Glyphosate Resistant Kochia

Since kochia cross-pollenates easily, is a tumbleweed, and has wind-blown pollen, it is difficult to know if the glyphosate resistance found in western Canada was introduced from elsewhere, or if it evolved independently at the various sites already confirmed.    Learn More >>

Spray early: Economics of early weed control

Early in-crop weed control will yield more than late control almost all the time. Early-emerging weeds tie up nutrients and moisture valuable to the crop. They also out-compete the crop for sunlight if their leaves cover canola seedlings.    Learn More >>
